A new pairing that seems to be working following the death of the long-standing male last autumn. I'm assuming the rather moth-eaten one is the new male because the female has never looked like this.
@Gigit Its possible the 'motheaten' one is actually the female. It is featherplucked which always indicates stress- perhaps brought on by death of her previous mate or even the introduction of new partner? But only a guess....
@Pertinax I did wonder, but the female has looked OK recently. Perhaps the male has been similarly bereaved? Whichever it is, it's good to see them enjoying each other's company
