Polarbear enclosure at Berlin Tierpark.

It will be soon changed. A window for visitors will be built. Much money will be spend, for the animals nothing will be changed. The reason for this all is that "disabled people also can see then the bears".

Now see on the photo why I think it is rubbish to spend MUCH money on a window and a ramp for wheelchairs. Because everyone already can see the bears just fine!

Didn't they do the same with the former Kamtschatka-bear enclosure and the andean-bear exhibit?
Leaveing everything nearly unchanged and putting a window in front of it?
Btw:: i hope the ramp for wheelchairs doesn't lead into the exhibit,....

to be fair, the woman in the wheelchair is looking in the wrong direction :D

For the blackbear and andeanbear exhibit it made sense, because they filled up the huge moats so the bears gained space.
For the polar bears it will be the same enclosure, just with an expansive window and some more expansive tunnel to get the disabled people to that window...

It made less sense for the spectacled bears, the bears could use the moats before.

Tierpark Berlin always complains about having no money, but what they do, do not improve this situation by pulling further visitors on.
