TP Berlin 2006. Any ideas?

I think it's a steppe eagle, Aquila nipalensis.

Don't know about that; the tarsi are unfeathered, which suggests Haliaetus. No ideas beyond that.

I'm pretty sure it is a steppe eagle - compare with this picture, which also includes some interesting stuff from kc7gr in the comments....

As I remember, this eagle was smaller then steppe eagle...

Do you remember where exactly you have taken this picture (the big aviary behind the Alfred-Brehm-Haus, one of the aviaries in the raptor circle, etc.)? Maybe that can help.

So I am about 90 percent sure that this is a steppe eagle (Aquila nipalensis) as sooty mangabey wrote. Although it might be possible that I have seen this species at TP Berlin at the birds of prey circle (too) during my last visit one year ago, according to zootierliste.de for TB Berlin, no other kind of bird of prey would fit to the animal on your picture.

Thank you, evrerybody for a help! I've also found a signage from the same visit which shows steppe eagle.
