I might have seen a short-tailed opossum in the old style nocturnal house of Antwerpen and I saw a woolly opossum high in a tree during an evening river cruise in Tortuguero, but in Texel Zoo it was the first time for me to see opossums in a proper way.
@AWP Lucky you! I was at Texel zoo last week but sadly couldn't find the opossums in their enclosure. They are still there, but they were probably sleeping...
@JurassicMax They were in the inner enclosure when I visited in 2017, but after I asked a keeper where they were, he was so kind to get the trio out of their sleeping spot for a feeding.
