Ostrich - Crowned crane - Guineafowl enclosure

July 7 2021
That is a nice looking paddock, especially in a bird park. At first glance it looks like something for hoofstock.

You're right but because only few hoofstock is kept at the bird park ( only some mouse deer ) birds have to fill the space ;).

@vogelcommando oh ok. Which bird taxa are the chevrotains mixed with assuming that is the dynamic in place? Even Jurong Bird Park in Singapore keeps Lesser malay chevrotains (Tragulus kanchil).

@UngulateNerd92 : They have been kept in one of the Tropical Walk-through enclosures together with loads of bird-species ( touracos, starlings, pigeons and doves and so on ) but didn't see them on this visit.
Also in one of the larger outdoor-enclosures they used to be kept - with pheasants, doves and starlings - but were not signed there anymore.
