I will say that what I found especially intriguing about that article was the genetic bottlenecking that occured in the Cincinnati population. That doesn't come as a suprise to me... The data showed that the founder stock came primarily from three animals. Again very interesting.
@UngulateNerd92 I far as I know the zoo has never had them. These lizards are absolutely everywhere around here and are an invasive species so the zoo probably never had the need to display them.

The day at the zoo, I saw one on the rock wall of the bird show, one next to the sidewalk outside manatee springs, two on the rockwork wall of the elephant enclosures, and another one darting away in one of the planted areas near the reptile house. So about five, and I wasn't actively looking for them.
At the Smale riverfront park (Which is downtown and on the Ohio river) I saw four or five all in one rocky drainage area near the 'labyrinth'. Again, I wasn't actively looking for them.
@Mai Thai thank you. That makes perfect sense. I thought that they might be potentially useful from an educational standpoint, perhaps about invasive species or whatnot.
