This is a great book! It's very heavy, extremely expensive, but packed with an amazing assortment of diagrams, drawings and photos. A MUST-OWN for anyone in the zoo design business.
@StoppableSan The English publication is 2019, although there is a slightly earlier German version as well. It's a masterpiece of a book, 540 pages in length, a big hardcover packed full of schematic blueprints, drawings, photos and diagrams of famous zoo exhibits for elephants (historical and contemporary sections that total almost 100 pages just on elephants!), primates, big cats, giraffes, aquatic worlds, polar worlds, tropical worlds and exhibition buildings. I own hundreds of zoo-related books and this is one of my all-time favourites. One flaw is that 90% of the exhibits showcased in the book are based at European zoos. There needs to be a sequel focusing on the rest of the world! That being said, it's well worth the cost for a zoo nerd.
