This area is just after the turnstiles. The free-ranging Cottontop Tamarin exhibit and Freshwater Stingray pond had to make way for this temporary courtyard and gift shop (to the left of the photo) as a large part of the Zoo entrance is being rebuilt as a new administration and education building.
The elephant sculptures used to be at the Night Safari's entrance (they also had to be moved because of redevelopment works).
