Brisbane River Cod (Maccullochella sp)

October 2019
This is the only known specimen, caught "over a hundred years ago", and still unnamed. (The original label on the specimen bottle calls it macquariensis). The species is thought to be extinct. The Brisbane River is apparently now filled with introduced ("restocked") Mary River Cod M. mariensis.

@Chlidonias that cleared up a bit of confusion, thanks! I wasn't sure if this was the Brisbane River Cod since the signage says Brisbane River but the bottle is labelled macquariensis.
