Dreadful. Looking back through the gallery, I see the reedy plants growing in the pond area on the left used to be a lot taller.

Hmmm does anyone else think that Dudley might be handing over their 'crown' by the end of the year (regarding outdoor enclosures)?

I'm referring to the crown/title of worst overall orangutan outdoor facilities in the UK.

Dudley are the current holders in my opinion and have been for a long time. However, when they finish building their new orangutan outdoor area, they will still have the 2 old, very poor enclosures, but they will also have what I believe will turn out to be among the best outdoor orang enclosures in the UK. So I think that unwanted crown will be flung elsewhere.

Do you think Twycross's single outdoor area is worse than Colchester's one? Personally I think the high opaque walls and lack of greenery of Colchester's make it worse.

@Benosaurus I just think the one at twycross offers very little, a mound of grass and a scabby little climbing frame, it’s much smaller than Colchester’s and atleast Colchester has a larger climbing structure with more platforms. I suppose Blackpool’s wouldn’t be out of the question either.
