Spix's macaw (Cyanopsitta spixii), 2021-09-03

Might be the best pic of them that I have seen from Daiza!

@DelacoursLangur I was lucky this time, I got some decent shots on both days of my visit (I also posted two from September 2nd earlier). The macaws were not in the easiest of spots, but also just in the right spot that it wasn't altogether impossible to get decent photos. I also got some in 2019, but none in 2020.

I'm rather jealous Are they still in the same aviary? I am hoping to revisit next spring and I want better photos than I took last time.

@gentle lemur Yes, the Spix's and Lear's macaws are still housed in the two aviaries near the three gift shops and the petting zoo area.
