Obviously the rich animal collections are the most impressive aspect of the two Berlin zoos but one of the things that I particularly enjoy are the numerous statues in both Berlin Zoo and Berlin Tierpark; this one, of musk-ox, has always been a favourite if mine.

Indeed; as one may have gathered from the numerous statues I have been highlighting in my trip reports I was also rather taken by the statues dotted around the collections :)

And apart from Berlin Zoo and Berlin Tierpark, I cannot think of any other zoo that sells a special guidebook detailing all the statues on site.

(If anybody knows of anywhere else that does likewise I would be very interested to learn where.)
