This is nice to see! I'm of the mind that this, (along with the future indoor habitat with the development of Adventure Africa: Phase 3) will lead to a top-tier hippo habitat! At MILWAUKEE, of all places!
I agree! While I still think the exhibit in general is on the small side, it was nice to see that the Zoo took a more natural approach for the hippos and then simply let nature take its course. After seeing some of the drawings on the Zoo's thread, I'm excited to see how the renovated interior will look, especially since it seems to emphasize more land area.
