@vogelcommando Yeah, no. This was never place where echidnas were (or if they ever were there, it must've been before I started visiting regularly and they certainly didn't bred there), that's just an educational sign about them... throughout my visits from 2017 onwards the exhibit housed - Kowari, Egernia stokesii and now Woma-python.
At least since 2018, the echidnas are in the small mammals off-shows (area in the 1st floor of the nocturnal house) and that's where the breeding is happening as well.

I have seen them signed in this exhibit during one visit, it was relatively shortly after their arrival. Cca in year 2012 or 2013? I haven´t seen an actual animal, just a layer of peat, piece of bark. During next visit, there was already signed another species, Monodelphisdomestica, which I also din´t happen to see.
They were moved backstage and only then started to breed.
