Example of Small Bird Enclosure in the Alfred Brehm Haus

Taken 6th July 2015
This particular enclosure contains Fairy Bluebirds
Do you have a list of how many there were of these bird exhibits, and what species were kept?

I do :)

1) Asian Fairy Bluebird
2) Chestnut-backed Thrush
3) Violaceous Euphonia and Red-legged Honeycreeper
4) Blue-and-yellow Tanager
5) Antillean Siskin
6) Long-tailed Finch and Gouldian Finch
7) White-eared Catbird
8) Cuban Grassquit, Antillean Siskin and Greater Antillean Bullfinch

All looked pretty much the same as the one pictured, with the rather odd-looking (in my opinion) tiles for the back and the rather bare look with less foliage and cover than there could be.

No more Barbets or yellow-billed hornbills?

That pair of catbirds are the most successful in Europe.

Not that I saw, and I remember having a fairly good look around. Though it's possible that I missed something tucked away in a corner.

There were Red and Yellow Barbets in the central free-flight bit though.
