Barbary Stag (Cervus corsicanus barbarus) at Tierpark Berlin - April 8th 20

One of the more notable deer taxa held at Tierpark Berlin, this group is the only one in a European public collection.

It's the name of the taxon, rather than an indicator that this particular individual is male :p

So it should be a Barbary Stag Doe.

If it was a male would be a Barbary Stag Stag.

That does not sound right to me.

They came in 2010 to the Tierpark ( 1 male, 3 females ) and althrough Red deers are no difficult breeders, sofar no succesful birth has been archieved at the Tierpark.
