When I reviewed this zoo on my 2012 road trip thread, I praised the Asian elephant exhibit but criticized the lack of a pool. Since then, the zoo spent $1.8 million and built a pool and viewing platform that opened in 2016.
@snowleopard It appeared to be a very nice area for them, with tons of viewing areas! There's the main path/boardwalk which goes into the middle, then two large viewing areas with benches and everything.
