@Bengal Tiger Aside from a yearly banding and checkup round of the chicks in the nests and some research the colony is mostly unmanaged. The storks do not get extra food and have to find their own food, and most of them migrate naturally.

So while the colony was originally established from released captive birds (in the late 1980's and the 1990's), it is for all intents and purposes a wild stork colony.
