The chain-link is not aesthetically pleasing, agreed. That said, it seems more than adequate for the species in it - plenty of climbing opportunities, two or three shelters to hide in, ground space to explore.
@snowleopard it's clearly been too long since you've been to Wisconsin - this too good for a Wisconsin roadside zoo. A Wisconsin roadside zoo would put a porcupine in a corncrib with no climbing opportunities...
@Coelacanth18 I find that it's rare for a zoo to give its porcupines actual trees to climb in. A few logs and branches scattered around never looks good in my opinion.
