There like way too similar I don't even know why there's 2 different species it's so hard to tell lol. :p

Nice! Are rhodostomus fun to keep?

I've never heard of the 3rd one, Are you sure it's in Hemigrammus?

Oh, wait. Okay it's apparently in it's monotypic genus. Split, I assume, because they look so similar?!:p

@CheeseChameleon1945 They're a little sensitive, but not bad. Getting good individuals off the get go often is the tough part, as it was for me.

I've seen it referred to both ways, I'm not sure there. Generally it is split, yes.

@CheeseChameleon1945 Indeed. I currently only have one left from a group I got early in the year, unfortunately the batch I got proved so-so. Several lived for most of the time til now but really they should live a little longer. If I can find another good-looking batch that's doing well I'd like to pick up some more. When they're happy and doing well the glowing red head contrasting against the barred tail is quite gorgeous.

@Great Argus I can imagine! It seems like a very popular species in home aquariums based on a google search. It's a shame you only have one left, I give you high hopes on getting a new healthy batch!

@CheeseChameleon1945 They're very popular, I see them offered very regularly. However due to their tendency to arrive in poor condition I'm wary of buying them too soon after arrival. So I still wait and watch for some that have been around a little while and looking good. Thanks for the good wishes on it!
