I like the raised bank boundary. I haven’t seen anything like this outside of Zoo Tycoon,

@Zoofan15 Yeah, it provides quite an effective way of viewing the giraffes somewhat at eye level. NZA loves an inventive way of looking into an exhibit.

Not sure when it was first built, although before the extension this was in the corner of the ‘old zoo’ (I say old and not original, as my earliest memories of Canberra would be circa 2007).
