Mandrill enclosure, February 2022

A huge tree covered in ivy was taken down yesterday and now fills the mandrill enclosure, along with a lot of mud. The fences and climbing frames have gone. The mandrills were in their house at the back of the photo.

@Benosaurus I have no idea! Hopefully they'll rebuild it all and add some new climbing frames that also provide shelters. Shame about the tree - it looked like a great site for nests and I did spot a thrush going into the ivy not long ago.

Seems to be so much happening at Paignton at the moment and so quickly, which can only be a good sign.
