Cincinnati Zoo's Wild Cat Rescue (Night Hunters Replacement)

A perfectly to scale overhead rendering of what I believe to be a realistic and suitable replacement for Night Hunters, one of the most infamous indoor exhibits in America. It compliments and and brings back the forgotten/dwindling roots of the zoo's in-house small cat conservation efforts. Other than the building's criticisms, the idea was inspired by Greensboro Science Center's Revolution Ridge and its small cat exhibits.

If something like this were to exist, there would still be a few minor issues; most of these animals wouldn't be outside for most of the year, and this would eliminate current space for aardwolves, aardvark, fennec, vampire bats, galago, and flying fox. Just a disclaimer, the species list is only suggestive and based on species they have, recently had, and species they'd probably like to keep around this area (hence the genet and ringtail).

Here's a link to get an idea of where Night Hunters would lie on this map, and to get an idea of just how small the current enclosures are compared to what's above. If you're on your phone, these links only work in desktop mode.

Cincinnati Zoo and Botanical Garden Wiki

Glad you decided to post this, as this is the kind of fantasy content that people really enjoy. An excellent concept that make for a wonderful addition to Cincinnati. Would love to see what else you can think of for Cincinnati or any other zoo.

@pachyderm pro I really wish there was a way the zoo could receive this suggestion without it creating a laughable/negative interaction, because there's absolutely no way they're making something like this.

I was going to create a South American section with the Bear Line, but there's little point since the real plans are about to be released.

Don't tempt me with outdoor clouded leopards! Not to mention underwater viewing for fishing cats. That would be a feeding demonstration.

Great job with this. Would love to see a lot of these species outdoors for a change.

In this plan, would it be possible to preserve the murals from Night Hunters/the Cat House for the indoor exhibits? (And also would there be a way of having a dedicated nocturnal house for the aardvarks, bats, bearcats, aardwolves, pottos, etc.)

@StoppableSan
I'm still waiting for a school assignment that will give me a reason to do this, pretending this is all real (I don't care to play along with the general fantasy forum concepts, this is already idealistic enough) one of my ideas was to create large signage using pieces of the existing murals. Not to reuse as walls themselves, but as separate pieces with information, graphic of the animal, pasted onto a good chunk of the mural's prominent landscapes.

If it were up to me, I wouldn't have a nocturnal house, but if I did, I would put it in the empty yard by the Reptile House, across from the tortoises. The pottos and bearcats are also already exhibited elsewhere.
