This Exhibit was built in 1989 for a group of Wisent that arrived from Warsaw Zoo, They left somewhere in the 90s and the Red Buffalo moved in from the current Burchell's Zebra enclosure to here.
Thanks for all your photos of this large zoo. I realize that there is a drop-off from the viewing area down to the level of the enclosure, but from several photos it's difficult to tell how deep that drop is. It looks as if a visitor could reach over and touch an ungulate...but of course that is just the perspective of the image.
