Really nice to see such a big exhibit for caiman, in the USA they're often in very small enclosures. Thank you for uploading so many photos of this interesting place!

It's always a pleasure to share pictures with you guys here in Zoochat .
Yes, it was surely an interesting exhibit, and the natural pool was specially larger because of the rainy days in Salvador lately. Interesting point you mentioned about the caiman/crocodilian enclosures. The US has amazing zoos, and many zoos in Brazil have a lot to improve and even learn with North American/European institutions, but indeed, the enclosures for crocodilians here are for some motive a real point to praise in many cases, maybe better than in many other parts of the world. You might wanna check out these others I've photographed:
@David Matos Mendes WOW, those all look fantastic! Most places don't even give the giant croc species half that amount of space, unless they have several dozen of them (some roadside zoos keep producing babies for photo ops). That's wonderful to see.
@TinoPup
Oh yes, I see. That's really unfortunate, and a shame these animals mostly receive adequate enclosures for this purpose and situation. It's great that, at least in this aspect, Brazilian zoos have been doing well. The caimans/crocodilians are thankfull, I guess .
