Yes, and there were many more to the left of this thiner branch in the middle, but can't be seen in the picture. There were also more individuals in other aviaries, so I guess the total of ibis the zoo keeps would be around 150. Salvador has very expressive numbers of individuals of some other species too. For what I could count during the visit, there would be something around 60 caimans, similar number of capuchin monkeys, more than a hundred yellow-eared slider and red-footed tortoise, and also something close to 20 brocket deer, something very uncommon even for larger zoos in the country. None of these species had all the present individuals held in the same enclosure, and I would imagine these expressive amounts are due to the role of housing rescued native fauna the institution plays.

Yeah, there are many individuals in this exhibit. Probably the largest captive group of these animals in the country, and, who knows, in the world... I hope the zoo returns this larger group to the big immersive vivarium at some point.
