This is part of the new entrance to the zoo, leading to the right as you leave the reception building. The zoo has removed the Brookside Aviary 'allowing a brighter and more accessible path to be created, and is building a new path behind the tigers and lions which will lead all the way up to the gorillas.' Some of the birds from the Aviary are still evident in the zoo - the egrets and ibis are dotted around in various cages.
