Both houses are connected, the tropical house was build as an expansion to the primate house and was used except for monkeys also for other small mammals like squirls and tree kangaroos. After a few years, the small mammals has dissapperaed from this house and now the tropcal house is a true monkey house. But the name Tropical house is still used for it.
