Pygmyhippo Exhibit

Its a really nice outdoor exhibit, it has a size of 250 square meters. This szie is planned for the indoore xhibit for pygmy hippos in the upcoming Gondwnaland-Rainforest Building at the Leipzig Zoo, so thats a good size for an indoor exhibit. I don't know, if the pygmy hippos will get an outdoor exhibit also, I hope so !

This does look like a great exhibit. They have a nice shady area, nice sunny area, and a nice pool.

The outdoorn enclosure (250m²) is much better than the indoor enclosure (25m² each + pool).

Unfortunately the Pygmy Hippos at the Gondwanaland will not get an outdoorn enclosure, but they can use the 250m² indoorn enclosure 356 days a year.

I have no problem with that if the indoor enclosures are good enough to compensate for the lack of an outdoor enclosure. Why should the big mammals be different from the small mammals in this context?
