Future white rhino exhibit

No idea, but I wouldn't be surprised if it were Montpellier given the decline the latter has undergone. There are three new giraffes coming to Pafos from 'Africa' so not sure exactly where they're from either.

On another note the walls on the rhino exhibit are dangerously low - only the one metre or so stone wall in the image and a low non-electrified wire fence are between the visitors and the rhinos, with no moat or ditch or anything.

@amur leopard This Zoo seems to be heading in a better direction with the soon addition of the Rhinos and Sun bears, What was your total overview of this place?

@Nix Overall, it's come a long way from where it was when I last visited frequently, and so I reckon it's a place on the rise but I think it is also limited in a way given its location unless Cyprus experiences a tourism boom.

Just looking at it from an objective point of view, the zoo has some lovely areas and a wonderful collection (one of the best in the world undoubtedly in some areas) but some of its infrastructure is outdated, signage is often wrong or lacking, aviaries are too small and barren - i.e. the classic problems a former bird park experiences. Beauval went through (and is still going through) such a phase where some of the older enclosures are too small and need replacing, so while I'm not saying it's anywhere near that level, the zoo is showing intent. However I don't think the aviary situation will change very soon - the zoo will likely prioritise expansion and addition of major drawcards such as the bears or rhinos over renovation of aviaries most won't even give a second glance. So either way revenue will likely increase and with that will hopefully come progress in the areas where the zoo needs to change, but having said that they are a growing zoo so there needs to be an incentive to do so :).
