This is one of the most terrible hippo enclosures... I wonder, most people in Frankfurt criticize the hippo pool there, which is old and small too, but bigger than this one, but nobody in Stuttgart says, that this pool is to small for hippos, the visitors there just want to see the hippos...But maybe the Stuttgart people criticize the Frankfurt Hippo pool on the other side...
