“Africa”- mixed-species savanna exhibit

Przewalski's horses, emus, nilgai, rheas..."Africa" at a roadside American zoo!

that’s not the only egregious example of geographical inaccuracies at this zoo. Lemurs with macaws, capybaras with mallards, hyraxes with laughing-thrushes, and a couple more.

Not to mention the sections like “North America” having sloth bears, snow leopards, gibbons, guenons, macaques, hyraxes, & fishing cats, and “South America” with anoas, addaxes, cheetahs, lemurs & civets (although I’m not complaining about the last one).

@Dhole dude I love how most people know more than the people that own the zoo!

@felis silvestris I don’t believe it’s because they don’t know, but instead because they don’t care about geographical accuracy and think the public won’t notice (which, for the most part, is true)
