Gorilla Exhibit

July 25th, 2018.
The answer is no to both of the questions. The expanded holding areas of the original gorilla house have been built over this space. The viewing windows were removed and additional wall space for interpretive displays were added in this area.

Which is sad, because this was the original outdoor gorilla habitat that dated back to its opening in 1965 I believe. Granted it had gotten a number of facelifts over the years. Prior to Gorilla Valley's opening, the back wall was just a plain concrete slab that was sometimes painted like the walls in the Lied Jungle.
