@Chlidonias it is not accurate. These are Strombus, not Cone Snails. I'd imagine the aquarium did not want the risk of keeping such a dangerous species, so used a similar-looking but harmless species.
 
@Chlidonias I was reading your review of the aquarium, I noticed you mentioned that the "cone snails" moved with a lurching motion. Definitely strombus in that case, cone snails move with the usual snail gliding motion. Strombus move like that as they have a reduced foot, and instead use a modified operculum to push themselves forward.
