Florida coral reefs

I really love this "temperate" coral reef setup, most zoos will go for the great barrier reef, or other typical tropical reefs

@Mr Gharial , it is pretty unique. It's related to when they built the aquarium with the theme of "telling the story of Florida water from the spring to the open ocean". Over time that story has lost some focus, adding Madagascar, African penguins, and Hidden Pacific, along with taking out the deep sea and open ocean exhibits, etc. I'm not sure they would theme the major coral reef for the aquarium in a Florida theme if it were being built today.

I should note that one of their major conservation efforts is reproducing and stocking coral reefs around Florida. They have a breeding center on the roof of the aquarium as well as a large off site facility where they do this.
