Amazonia - Linnaeus's Two-Toed Sloth - Howie

May 31st, 2022

The first time I've ever seen the sloth in Amazonia.
Omg! Where in the rainforest did you spot the sloth? I’ve never seen it either but I always see them in Small Mammal House.

@Kevin2342

He was in a tree above the walkway next to the elevator & staircase right at the beginning of the path (or end if you enter from the hallway where the guinea pigs are).

I saw him yesterday in that spot too! I was so excited. I wonder if you and I crossed paths yesterday; were you at Claws and Paws trail early in the morning?

@blospz

I was pretty excited too, I stayed watching him for a good 20ish minutes. I may or may not have yelled "hes moving!" at an embarrassingly loud volume when he started moving.

I got to the zoo at 9 something but I worked my way down from the top so it would've been late morning when I was first there. However if you saw a shorter guy wearing red shorts, a blue blockbuster t-shirt with a camera around his neck that would've been me.

@Andrew_NZP, okay I was back up the hill then and I left at noon to beat the heat. I'm glad you saw him move; I was hoping I would in order to see his face.
