I really like this zoo's use of transport containers. They're small budget decorations/structures for the smaller zoo, but also count as the zoo's "style", not giving it a cheap feel
@Mr Gharial The Steller's sea eagle aviary which this exhibit sits right next to also has a bit of an old harbor/industrial area taken over by nature theme going on, so the shipping container also fits in with that.
I like that the shipping containers seem to be quite effective at keeping glare off the weasel viewing windows.
In certain contexts the use of shipping containers as structural or decorative materials at zoos can certainly work - the context will determine the look to a large extent I think. Although when using them for animal housing I'm not sure how easy or hard it would be to equip them with plumbing, electricity and heating/cooling.
