The former mixed domestic ungulates paddock including camels, ankole cattle and reindeer. The palm trees are very impressive, especially in an often wet and windy part of north west Europe.
Yes, over in the corner of the zoo by the canal and restaurant. My understanding is that the old enclosure is going to be - eventually - a lion enclosure.
They are doing lots of work at the moment especially on the old protected buildings and I don’t think funding is currently in place for the lion enclosure.
