I've just been going over some photos of various species of pygmy possum. To my mind it does not look like a mountain pygmy possum as it lacks rings around the eyes. My bet if smuggled from Australia is an eastern pygmy possum. The long tailed pygmy possum has dark rings as well so I have gone off that as an option.
