This reserve holds Spanish Red Deer, European Fallow Deer, Nilgai, Ostrich, and Emu - with Guanaco in a side paddock that appear to usually be in here as well. The giraffe paddock lies alongside this reserve.
Glad to see Safari Madrid get some more pictures! Always nice to see more Spanish zoo representation at ZooChat.
What was your opinion on the place Maguari? I've always wanted to give this place a visit at some point.
@SivatheriumGuy It's not bad. A bit tatty in places, and like so many safari parks, the walk-around section is quite visibly a patchwork of different ideas from different times with no real consistent plan. Not many of the exhibits are more than adequate, but there's little that isn't at least that level. Some of the large mammal housing on the drive-through section is very basic, but at least the local climate means it will presumably be used less than up here in the north. The layout of the safari reserves is very odd - all in a line so you go out through them all then back through them all as well. And the bird(/wolf/serval) show gets very interesting, after a slow start. Worth a visit I'd say.
