IMO the worst Hippo exhibit in the UK. Some European Zoos have exhibits clean filtrated water and underwater viewing, but not here. They live in a pea soup most of the time. Its poor.
@MagpieGoose Good to hear. Can't come soon enough IMO. They do seem to be upgrading the exhibits for the biggest mammals- Elephants, giraffe etc. Hopefully Hippos will follow suit.
@Pertinax The added addition of being able to view the main safari area, giraffes and elephants from the foot now is a very welcome part of the new enclosures. Hopefully a bull hippo will join in the future.
