@Great Argus Of course I don't know where this bird comes from, but missing nails are not too uncommon in birds from backgrounds of abuse or substandard husbandry.
@KevinB Yes I'm well aware, and it's unfortunate how much parrots tend to suffer in poor conditions. Possibly this is a rescue bird as plumage seems to be pretty good, tail is missing feathers but no obvious signs of feather plucking.
@birdsandbats Apologies for the late reply, but this is at Lincolnshire Wildlife Park, where most of the parrots there are rescues so that would explain the missing nails…
