The Animal Discovery Center is Stone Zoo’s learning center, but also contains exhibits for various reptiles, amphibians, and other smaller animals. According to different sources, the building is repurposed, having once been an elephant or giraffe house.
The building was closed during my visit, and seems to have been closed for some time. It looked like it may have been closed due to some visible construction on the left (I am not sure what the red structure is that they are building), but the zoo’s website cited the building as being closed in accordance with some sort of public guidance. If anyone knows any specifics on the temporary closure, I’d be interested to learn more.
