do know what kind of swine would live in here. ( just a couple) I have never herd of a building like this. I is really cool.
 
I haven't been there since 2004 so I'm not sure about the current stock. But you'll find loads of photos, both from me and others, in the Berlin Zoo gallery. German members will probably be able to give you precise information, but in the meantime you may find this website to be of interest:

Is it part of a museum?

It does look a bit like a torture chamber, I'll agree, but these enclosures are obviously still in use, you can see shiny padlocks on the sliding door handles, a hosepipe on the floor while the animal labelling all looks very up to date. Note the feeding shutes for feeding the various pigs in here.
 
This is one of the great European zoo buildings. It has character, it has a superb collection within its walls - and it works, as evidenced by the fact that swine of various species have lived healthily in there, breeding merrily, for many years. It is wonderful!
