@Haliaeetus There was an incredibly powerful flood in 2012 that partially destroyed this part of the zoo. In fact, more than half the zoo was flooded and the Polar Shores complex used to hold Polar Bears and Harbour Seals. One of the bears was swept outside of their enclosure during the flood!
