Lion Exhibit - African Grasslands (View from Skyfari)

This is my favorite lion exhibit I've seen out of the hundreds of zoos I've visited in North America. The enclosure is huge and the lions obviously like hanging out on the rocky 'mountain' in their habitat.

So many of the exhibits that the Omaha Zoo has done since I visited back in 2012 make me really want to go back here. This and the sea lion exhibit really wow me. This looks like a scene from straight out of the African savannah.

@cloudedleopard611 Omaha is not the same zoo it was ten years ago. It's not an exaggeration to say over 90% of the zoos outdoor space has been completely redone since 2012, in what has arguably been the greatest overhaul of any zoological institution of all time. There's so much to love about this zoo, which perhaps my favorite - although I'll need another visit to San Diego to confirm that.

I highly encourage you to go back, as it will essentially be like visiting a new zoo for the first time.

@pachyderm pro So it seems. Its definitely one of the zoos I'd like to visit the most. In 2012 I loved it but it did have some exhibits that seemed really dated and out of place in a zoo with such a great reputation. From what I can tell, it doesn't seem like that's the case anymore. As a photographer I can only imagine the kinds of photos I could take in exhibits like this.
