Tasmanian Devil exhibit

Are they easy to see/active in this exhibit?

An interesting habitat for Tasmanian Devil. I’ve never been to Tasmania, but that certainly looks like a North East Australian forest floor.

@Zoofan15 It's not the greatest, I've seen them active and about twice on previous visits. But they are hard to see due to all of the vegetation.

@Swanson02 Was just curious as Auckland and Wellington’s vanish at the slightest hint of sun. I wondered if the shade via vegetation would help, but clearly not haha.

@Zoofan15 Really, Melbourne's boy loves to lie in the sun right next to the viewing glass. Often quite a sight to behold.

@Jambo No, I’ve only twice seen Auckland Zoo’s Tasmanian devils outside on a hot day - and one of those days only so it could wade in the stream it was that hot. The most active I’ve ever seen them was on my last visit. It stirred both them and the lions up to the point they were running laps of their respective exhibits. It was also the most active I’ve ever seen Auckland Zoo’s lions.
