@Mr Gharial Could you tell me exactly why? I'm not that well versed in dinosaur stuff, and while I assume there's some stuff wrong with these artistic sculptures, I couldn't tell exactly what.
The frill on the neck is completely fictional, made up by the Jurassic park movies. But because the movies became so popular, everyone now believes that it's paleontologically correct. Especially because they're still being depicted with the frill
@KevinB Presumably the neck frill - an entirely speculative addition made in the Jurassic Park franchise that now seems to turn up on almost every Dilophosaurus you see.
I'm very torn because I love the JP Dilophosaurus design but it doesn't have a great deal in common with the real Dilophosaurus wetherilli, even allowing for the plot circumstances of the story (i.e. they don't have the full original genome).
