@OkapiFan Redbird died around a month ago. The zoo is planning to gain a new group of ostriches by the end of the year. The zoo's hoping to get them young so that they can grow up used to the keepers.
@Breckenridge I hope the Watani keepers get what they want as keepers too seldom do; however, I simply cannot imagine wanting ostriches back… I temporarily took care of four them for another department through the bird flu, and I could not wait to be rid of them. To each their own, but they are not for me!
@Breckenridge I should have looked at the map as a reference first, I had not previously realized it stretched nearly the same length as the two elephant yards combined.
