@SivatheriumGuy This is one of the species featured in the bird show, so I think this is where they're kept between being flown, and the small size and high sides prevent take off. It's very odd on the eyes though!
@dillotest0 Indeed, but it's very rare in Europe these days. Outside of places keeping injured wildlife rescues I struggle to think of any I've seen over here in years (neither pinioned nor wing-clipped). Flamingos, cranes and pelicans are becoming less and less frequently kept in open enclosures as well - it's rare for a major zoo with a bit of cash to spend to build a new enclosure for these species that isn't an aviary - and pretty much unthinkable for healthy raptors.
